People: Put on the earth to entertain each other.

I'm in a family processes class and today we heard some great stories about how people begin relationships that eventually turn into marriage. Let me tell you....people can be crazy, unique, and creative yet successful. Example? One girl shared a story about her roommate who told them she came to BYU for the sole purpose of finding her husband. She knew what she was doing apparently because she had at least 3 dates a week and is now married. Before she found her "one and only" she would dress nicely but causally, go sit in the Cougareat food court, read an intelligent looking book and have something to eat while sitting toward everyone. This showed passerbys that she could take care of herself since she was eating and was nicely dressed, that she was open to conversation, and that she was still smart. Once you do this, boys will just come up to you and ask you on dates. And it worked for her because she's married now. Mission accomplished! hahaha, I wonder what she's doing with her life now....

There were many wonderful stories, but in essence, they all sent the same message: People are strange, yet create fabulous entertainment!!! Desperation makes a dignified human being act in ways they normally wouldn't. Hopefully I never have to resort to being that outgoing. I'll be glad to meet my husband in naturally crossing paths. I will never get married if hunting him down has anything to do with it. No way.

My conclusion that people are great for entertainment purposes was further solidified during my Physical Science class. My professor showed us this very entertaining clip. Some of those "dignified human beings" may find it a bit unnerving, but I found it quite hilarious.

Not understanding them makes this so much better!! I can just imagine what they're saying. The body language and enthusiasm is revealing of their little boy nature.
"Let's play a prank on the cars!! It won't do much harm."
"Hehe...yeah! But look at these lovely flowers at the front of my house. They are so lovely."
"Come!! Look! I'll stand on it to make sure it stays down...oh look! Here comes a car! Quick Hans! Give me the camera. I want to hold it when this happens so they think you put it in the road."
BOOM!
"Frederick. I think you should have stood on it a little longer!"

I love these German men. They make me truly laugh. :)
