Up up up dates!

1. I've moved into a new apartment. Currently I am neighbors to a pizza place whereas before I was a neighbor to a hair cutting place. The only reason I'm now the pizza place's neighbor is because they are taking over the hair cutting place. So logically the hair cutting place is taking over my old apartment. My apartment complex decided to just kick me out of my old apartment and into the one I'm in now, about 50 feet from the old one. Nevermind I had a contract for the old apartment until April....

So, now all my stuff is moved over and I get to organize now! Wahoo!...not. Well, sort of Wahoo. The apartment will be very nice looking when we're all moved in I hope. I'm going to buy a few things to make it more home-y including:

  • curtains for the front window and closet
  • a new shower curtain
  • a few lamps, possibly
  • a table cloth
  • two hanging pots for my plants
  • throw pillows
  • clocks
  • art, etc.
It will look lovely! Of course I'm going to see what my roommates are willing to put up (if it looks good) before I buy much.

2. With the moving, I've inherited quite a bit! Food, bobby pins, a TV, a printer, Christmas decorations, a ball, awesome turning colorful lights, a curling iron... A BUNCH of stuff. And everything has its own uses! Some people might come looking for things they left behind and if they do I'll let them have it back, but honestly, they left it behind. I guess they lack in attachment.

3. I'm back to Mechanical Engineering for now. I'm taking Calc 2 this fall for it and if that class goes well then I may end up sticking with it forever. My schedule is kind of scary. The blue is class time, the red is study time. I'm excited to show it who is boss!!

4. Mabel has left on her mission. She's in the MTC right now and will be for a couple of weeks. I'm going to make her bread and send it to her. :) It feels surreal for her to be gone. I don't think I'll ever get used to it.

5. Laurel and Sterling are angels. They are. If anyone doubts me then there is something wrong with your head. They helped me since Tuesday with all the moving I've done. They not only helped me physically, but I probably would have killed something due to an unbalanced emotional and mental state. I'm extremely grateful for their assistance and generosity.

6. I went to Idaho last weekend! Morgan and I visited Chelsea for a mini vacation. We had a marvelous time. MarVeLouS! Between the scones, the tubing, the surfing, the driving, the getting lost, the swimming, the jokes, the movies, the detours, the shrinky-dinks, the food, the parties, philosophical discussions and Chelsea's family, you can't have a bad time. Now I'm back to not eating again and I wish I could be back in Idaho with Costco muffins, delicious omelets, Arctic Circle shakes, and just simply great food. Morgan drove the entire way, both ways. She wouldn't let me touch the steering wheel. She has a tough back.

7. My job is getting busy busy busy! I think tomorrow I'm going to work until I get everything done on my checklist. That way I can focus on training Aly, the new secretary, next week instead of stressing over what I am past due with. There will be PLENTY to do next week.

8. I started marking my scriptures with coded colors! It is most helpful and it brings new insights. I highly suggest reading with a pack of twistable crayons, each color representative of a topic (Atonement/Christ/Charity, Repentance, Blessings, Warnings, Bad Consequences...etc.) I've really enjoyed it and when I'm done with a page I can look back and see patterns I'd never have noticed before! My mother was the genius behind this as she suggested it to me and does it in her own scriptures.
