Uh...hahaha...

So, to those of you who remember my car being lost, I had another little episode today.

This morning I woke up completely dead, confused, and just all around out of it.  That happens when you go to bed at 1:30 in the morning after a really really long, full day.  I got to work late, was beating myself up, and not quite engaging my brain in the most productive way.

Then comes my lunch break!  Hooray!  I grab the office key and my purse, quickly put the key away, then head back to my apartment.  On the walk home I look down at my hand to see the key swinging from my fingers.  I'm utterly confused at to why I have my key still, but I just go home and think really hard that I can't leave it at my apartment because then I won't be able to get back into my office.

Half way through lunch I want to see if I have any texts or calls I missed, so I go to my purse and rummaged around in it for a few seconds only to realize I must have left my phone at work.  I generally put in on the paper holder we have so I can answer texts as they come.  Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.  I supposed I had done that this morning but I honestly couldn't remember.  Wouldn't be the first time I've had no recollection of my actions.

So I wait to find my phone until I get back to work.  I leave my apartment, sure to have my office key in hand.  It's not going in my purse; it's staying in my hand.  I get to my office and go straight in as opposed to going to get my key because it's IN MY HAND.  I have it!

I sit down, get everything up and running then sit there for 10 seconds.  Where's my phone?  It's not on the paper holder.  It's not on the shelf.  It's not on the desk....hm.

Thinking through where I went.....I went over in my mind leaving the office for lunch.  I took the key, went to go put it away, then walked home.  What happened?  I thought I had my phone, but then I actually didn't.

Again: I took the key, went to go put it away, came out of the copy room (where I put the key) and walked home.  ..

NADA.

One more time: I picked up the key from out of my desk.  I picked up my purse.  I clocked out.  I walked out of my office.  I changed the sign to say I'm not in the office.  I opened the copy room.  I walked over to the drawer in the copy room. I bent down and put...something in the drawer.  I couldn't see myself putting the key in the drawer....

Why would that be?

Oh, that's right!  I accidentally had it in my hand when I was walking home!  Why did you forget that, Amelia?

Then what did you put in the drawer?

Your phone.

So I went into the copy room, opened the drawer, and there was my phone, snickering at me.  You found me!  Your turn to hide!

I'm just shaking my head.
