I'm sick...and my sisters are distressed/crazy .....they can't contain their insanity.

This past week has been quite an adventure! Friday the 18th was the last day of school in the 2009 year. Now we don't have to go back until January 4th...2 whole weeks of freedom....whoop. What do I do with myself? I've had a lot of friend time since we watched all 3 Lord of the Rings movies. That was a blast! We did it over 2 days since schedules wouldn't allow it to happen in one day. On the second day we made gingerbread houses during it. I have found that if you hot glue your gingerbread/graham crackers first it takes a lot more to make them collapse. Some may say it's cheating....but really I'm just using superior building tools. :) Now, I must admit I haven't really been that great at getting into the Christmas spirit this year. It seems like I have so much that needs to get done....then there is always more after that. I've had a hard time getting rid of distractions because I have a 'fix it' quality to me that hinders me quite a b...

I'll eat you up!!

Today was the day to get things done. I practiced the piano for about 3 hours total and then the organ for 1, got my calculus done, and most of my theory. I feel like it wasn't a waste of a day, but it definitely wasn't the most enjoyable. I don't think being accomplished would make me happy...it would be nice and I wouldn't have to worry about being dumb, but the things that make me happiest are the times that I laugh with my sisters and mother. In the middle of this "get it done" day my mom, Laurel and Lydia along with my cousin who came down for Thanksgiving were all sitting in the family room (where almost all silly, crazy, and off-the wall things happen in my family). Lydia had been saying, "I'll eat you up!" for a bit of the evening so she comes over to mom and says, "Threaten me! Say something mean." We all look at her like she's completely lost it. "What?" she replies to our blank faces. "No! Come...

Post Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is over now and everyone's attention will switch to Christmas. It's kind of sad how overshadowed Thanksgiving has become by the Christmas excitement. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving nevertheless. Family, beautiful food, delicious food, giggles, and then games!! It was a fun day. I had more on my plate than ever before this Thanksgiving....must mean my taste buds are growing up. I've usually just had a small piece of turkey, a small pile of sweet potatoes, a little bit of stuffing then like 10 rolls over the course of the night, but yesterday was different. I was full after the first serving!! NOT GOOD! I couldn't stuff anything else in! My favorite part of Thanksgiving was making the apple pie. It looked beautiful! Sorry I don't have a picture. Someone cut it before we got the camera out. It had the criss-crossing dough on top and apparently it was simply splendid. I never tried it...I was too full. :( Yesterday I didn't really get the chance to say ...

Senior Pictures

I got my senior pictures today! Exciting!! My aunt, Angela Liddle, did them and I absolutely love the way they have turned out. If you are thinking about getting any pics taken and want them to look really good, just google her name and her photography website should pop up within the first few links. She's great!! Here are a few of my favorites: There were a few more but I guess I can't successfully load anymore. Oh well! Thanks Angela!!

My hair cut!

Okay, so I cut my hair and got bangs. I'm still not sure how I feel about them. I'll put up more pics with my hair down later....after I figure out how to make it look okay when it's down. Those pics may not come until after Thanksgiving when Laurel can come up to help me. :D Gotta love those sisters. Sorry a couple are blurry. Our camera stinks doesn't have very good quality in everything about it unfortunately. What do you think??

A blustery Day in the Neighborhood

Yesterday my friends and I decided to go to the temple...but then when one of us called them, they said that since it was so busy it would be better for them if we didn't come since we were walk-ins. So instead of going to the temple we raked leaves. Here are some pictures from our adventure....there wasn't a whole lot of raking going on. Haha Before we picked up the rakes. Julia had just stuffed a HUGE handful of leaves down my back..... This is Julia....dancing? Mabel with her lovely arms and leg. This one is my favorite. All in all, it was a fun day. We had raked two other yards before this rather quickly but when we did my yard we played in the pile. Fall time is wonderful.

AN ALL TIME FAVORITE in my book.

And then little red riding hood was eaten by the tiny bear who had a broken chair

I teach piano to two little girls in my ward. Today was the weekly lesson and with this lesson I learned even more about their contrasting personalities. The first one is as sweet as a little girl can get. She talks to me, but still listens. She needs me to explain things but tries to understand them even if it's strange. She takes a little longer to get a hang of some of the concepts and notes whereas her sister, if she tries, understands them within three minutes. The sister has a much more fiery personality. From what I can gather and how she acts, she hates piano lessons. Near the beginning she was understanding what I asked her to learn with little difficulty because she put effort into it, but now she's growing tired of putting in that needed effort. She's not having much fun anymore which makes my job harder because now I need to put the fun into it that she's not putting into it. I think I did alright today......There was a picture of some little kids ...

the LiTtLe things that make a BiG impact

So today was an okay day...better than the past few, that's for sure. I had a good smile, a good laugh last night, and happiness surrounding me. That constitutes a good day. My good smile: During lunch today I was sitting outside with my one other friend who has that same lunch (Tusi). We were sitting under the trees in front of our school and a car comes through the circle....no big deal....right?....WrOnG. The car, every time it went a bit faster than before whined quite pathetically. It started to parallel park and that sort of maneuvering takes a good bit of putting your foot on the gas. So it whined.....and stopped whining....whined some more.....decided it should stop once more.....but wait, "I think I need to keep whining because I'm not parked yet." Then finally, after an amount of time that should not have been allotted to parallel parking had been spent, the whining stopped completely. Tusi and I looked at each other and started laughing. Not only at i...

Don't lie. It hurts the little ones.

.....a good laugh? I laughed a lot....and then a lot more. Is that mean?

Which is it...up or down?

Hey everyone!! I finally decided to set up a blog...we'll see how this works. I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to put into it or how much entertainment you'll get out of it. Who knows?
