A bottomless pit

I love babies!! Yesterday my cousins came over and one of them is a year old! He's adorable. I got to feed him lunch and talk with him. He only gargles and ba-bas but I can still talk to him. :) He likes to stick his hand in his mouth while there is a bunch of mush in it still and that made it really hard to make sure he was actually getting food down. Half of it probably ended up on his bib/face.

While I was feeding him I was eating my lunch with the rest of the cousins....mac and cheese. They were all 10 or under so mac and cheese seemed easy enough for mom to make and I was hungry enough to eat it. Little Adam (the baby) saw me eating and of course since I was eating something different, he wanted it. I tried to give him more of his food but he just put his hand in front of his mouth and scowled at me. Haha. I didn't think he understood as much as he apparently does. So then I gave him a few mac and cheese noodles and he gobbled them right up. Mom suggested I put some noodles in his baby food mush. It seemed pretty gross to me, but we went with it and he loved that nastiness! He kept eating and eating. Mom was worried I was force feeding him....she told me to just hold the spoon two inches away and have him reach for it. I did that....Adam proved her wrong. :) He was hungry as ever. I finally stopped because I didn't want to let him eat so much he'd throw up later.

After I had cleaned him up (which was quite a job....he was SO messy!) I went downstairs where everyone else had gone to when they had finished lunch. I sat on the couch and Adam was so relaxed and was just laying in my arms. He wasn't fighting me at all! I loved it!

I had to go get Lydia 10 minutes later and mom told me to just stick him on the floor. I didn't want to, but I did. When I stood up he was looking at me like, "Where are you going??" I started walking away and he was just staring at me. I went upstairs and left. When I came back he was contently playing with a baby chew toy. Apparently he got over me quickly.....oh well. Haha. I had a good time while it lasted.
