New Year Resolution: Marry Aragorn

This past week has been tiring, but fun. :) Christmas was a good day because I got to be with my family for most of it and then aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents topped it off with a lovely cherry by coming to our house and singing songs, playing games and laughing together. I had a good time. There was this one game we all played called "White Lies" and I must say...I'm a pretty good liar apparently. Most everyone believed I was telling the truth. Even my mother! That surprised me. The way you play is everyone takes a stone out of a bag. If the stone is black you tell the truth....if the stone is white you lie. This is permanent for the whole game. So then there is a box of cards that is passed around and you must answer or tell whatever the cards says too. For example: Who does your laundry? Who do you wish did your laundry? That one would probably be a dead give away for some...like my uncle. He just gave up right then and there. It was funny. One I got was "Can you roll your tongue?" I thought for sure that would give away whether or not I was lying, but very few if any caught it. So you pass the cards around the room and after a few rounds someone can use their turn to guess who is lying and who is telling the truth instead of answering a question. The person who guesses everyone correctly wins. If you guess incorrectly you are out. Someone guessed all of them right where there were about seven people left. It was great!!

So that was Christmas. New Year's Eve was fun too. I got to meet Laurel's......friend. Her special friend....I won't go any further except I will mention her special friend is a boy....I hope she doesn't pummel me later...he's a fun guy. I don't have the heart to shoot him with a bubble gun anymore. Mabel and Taylor came over later and we all played 'curses' together. That was interesting...I got a curse that said to hold my wrists against my head the rest of the game....it was all right until I got the curse to try my hardest to snatch away any card the person to my right draws. I couldn't see when I tried to grab them since I had to keep my wrists attached to my head. I had a really really really fun time doing that though.

Another exciting thing: On Sunday I met with a member of my stake presidency and guess what? I was shocked! I had no idea at all what they wanted with me going in there and when I came out...I was shocked. I have no other word for it! But...I, yes, I am giving a talk in Stake Conference. Deep breaths and prayers...that's what's going to be happening in my life for the next two weeks. It will be a good experience though. I'm excited! Really, I am. I love speaking when I'm prepared and know exactly what I am going to say. They have allotted me 7 minutes on the dot. I would have liked 10 but, hey, it will be good. :)

And as it is the New Year, I thought I'd share some of my new year resolutions:
1. Get homework done FIRST
2. Write down what I NEED to get done the next day before getting in bed.
3. Practice the piano more
4. Keep my room and bathroom clean (I cleaned them both for a total of about 7 hours on New Year's Eve so they would be clean in the new year)
5. Memorize my concerto by Jan 31st
6. Finish Personal Progress by April 30th
7. Don't bite my nails!! (broke that one already. :( but I'm going to keep trying)
8. Have a schedule for each day. (Gotta work on that too.)
9. Marry Aragorn

And there they are...well, some of them. :)
Have a Good Year!!!!
