A...L...O...H...A...! This one is probably just as boring as some of the other ones. If not that then even more boring.

Since I haven't written in a while I'll just write about what's going on currently.
  1. I got a new phone!! It's pretty much...well, how do I say this.....AWESOME! I like it quite a bit. :)
  2. Concerto Night drama that has yet to settle. I tried out then re-tried out because Jack had one spot left and 4 pianist that could have it. The next day the list for those who made it was posted and I wasn't on it, but then at the end of Orchestra that same day Jack said if I cut my 15 minute concerto down to 7 minutes then we can do it.....can't decide if it's worth it.
  3. AP Calculus. As long as I stay on top of it I'm good....but have I been staying on top of it?...not really. Well, for the past day I haven't. BUT, by the time I got home today it was finished because I worked on it during every spare moment. Pretty great. AP test will be scary though.
  4. AP English. Gah...this is going to be the death of me. English is harder to stay on top of because it's not as straight forward. I have to use my imagination in ways I don't want to because it's hard to think of what these people want from me. My teacher says there isn't a wrong answer, but when I write an essay she pretty much says you don't have the right idea. "But it's there no correct answer?"....goodness. And to think I once wanted to be and English major....*shudder* (No offense to any English majors out there.)
  5. Friends. We've all got our ups and downs. Right now I think we're right in the middle of that up-down curve. To me it seems like we're all in a stage where we're just trying to survive until Spring Break when we can relax a bit.
  6. Boys. Is it worth writing more that a few words?........Don't trouble with them until after their mission. It takes a LONG time to get over them if you do.....and I'm sure a long time to get over them after their mission as well....just keep your distance. Friends are okay though.
  7. Mi familia. I LOVE THEM!!!! Mi padre esta en Las Vegas today through Sunday. He was mean to leave us like that. Mi madre has been really tired lately but she's trying really really hard to keep up with everything. Hopefully I'm not much more of a burden to her. Mis hermanas: Ah, the sisters, yes. :D They all have their specialty.
  8. Seminary Council. We're in the middle of a reading competition with another high school in the area so we're busy with rewards and keeping track of that. I'm having fun with it.
I think I hit pretty much everything. So there it is, my life in a nut shell.

A remedy for being tossed among the billows of life

Today!  Ah ha! My car : I should take care of it, right?  And since I'm handing it off to Lydia soon it should probably be in tip top shape when she gets it.  I took it to the auto shop today just to have them check it out and see if there was anything they needed to fix.  Initially the mechanic said a diagnostic test would be $20, and then anything they find will be added to that, but they'd let me know before they did anything. "Okay! Sounds good!" and I left my baby with them. Then they call me back a bit later and tell me my clutch is having issues, but it's still drivable.  Replacing it would cost about $600.  I already knew that though, so I just said not to do anything with that.  And then they mentioned something else, but the mechanic said, "If I were you, I'd just drive the heck out of it until it breaks and then replace the broken parts or get a new car." New growth

  These plants, gifts from people dear to my heart, have witnessed everything that has happened in my apartment over the last five months.   You can see some of their leaves have turned yellow from inconsistent watering habits on my part.   About a month ago I started watering them consistently again and you can see some new, beautiful green growth because of that. Today as I stood in my kitchen with so many thoughts running running running through me I felt them encourage me a little bit as they shared some wisdom with me: Our yellow leaves are from a lack of water, yes, but you didn’t give up on us.   While we’re changed because of that period of drought, we are currently thriving and bringing forth beautiful new growth because you started watering us again.   That growth is slow and doesn’t come after a week or two of the change in watering, but it does come.   Giving us time is just as important as giving us water in those moments you feel it’s...
