Boys are cute from the time they are born to about age 6 or 7 then are not cute agian until they are about 80.
So today Ruby's friend, Tessa, came over to play and a little later her little brother came over because their mom had to go to work. He is the most adorable little boy! We've watched him many times before so he has gotten to know us and we've gotten to know him. Today was more exciting than usual because he was talking SO much and that wasn't how it used to be. His cute little boy voice is to die for and his fragmented sentences make it even cuter.
Today it snowed about 8 inches so Georgia, Ruby, Tessa, and Emma went out to play in it. When Caleb, the little boy, arrived he wanted to go outside and join the party so we let him. About five minutes later he came up to the back door and opened it. Mom went over and asked him if he was done.
"Yeah!" was his reply but then he promptly turned around and ran back to the girls. Mom closed the door. 2 minutes later he came back and opened the back door again.
"Do you want to come in? Are all done in the snow?" Mom asked him slowly.
"Yeah!!" he again replied but with more enthusiasm, stomping his feet....but promptly returned to the snow again. He did this twice more then really came in.
At dinner we were having soup and biscuits and I was thinking the little people would have trouble eating it because it wasn't "little kid food" but to my utter amazement Caleb asked for more once his was gone. When he did, he got off his chair, walked around the table, handed his bowl to Mom and said, "More." There was no question in his tone, but it reminded me of Oliver Twist saying, "More?" Caleb's little voice was so adorable! Whenever he spoke he had a very indifferent expression on his face as if it was expected that he would be asking this.
After Mom gave him more he took the bowl, walked around the table again and sat down. He took his spoon, dipped it in his soup, guided it toward his mouth, almost got it in his mouth but then took the spoon away and said, "Hot!" and looked around for someone to fix it. I mimicked someone blowing on their soup and told him to blow on it so....he put his spoon in his bowl and without hesitation blew on his soup, but got too close and ended up putting his whole chin in it! He didn't care though. The same indifferent expression accompanied him wiping a good bit of soup on his sleeve. It was quite distressing to me....I guess I've got a bit of my father in me. :) So then after he thought he had blown on his soup enough he attempted eating some more, but it was still too hot for his liking (not that him blowing on it had actually done anything.) He then thrust the spoon in my direction and I blew on it for him. After about 2 seconds (hardly enough time to do anything) he quickly plopped the spoonful of soup into his hungry mouth and gulped it down. This kid knows what he wants, how to get it, and is cute all at the same time. :)
This isn't him, but it is a cute little boy and Caleb is about his age so.....yeah!

Yes, he's a cutie. I like how you make me sound like a two-year-old too! :D
