Family Home Videos
For Family Night tonight we watched family videos and oh....my.....gosh!!! I love my family!! My memories from the period we watched are not that great, but watching our family interact just made me so happy. We obviously loved each other very much and mother was quite patient. A lot of the time was spent on Georgia as she was only two and talking quite a bit so of course the cutest thing will be recorded the most, but we all had our bit to give.....haha.
Laurel was always trying to be mature and the sister who kept everyone in check. Lydia noted how bossy she sounded on the video. :)
I had no pretenses about being mean......or modesty.....eek.
Lydia....oh my....hahahaha! There was one part when Dad was talking to Lydia about being obedient and I could have sworn that Ruby was on the video, not Lydia!!! Their mannerisms were almost the exact same, their word choice, the way they stressed their words.....everything Lydia was doing looked exactly like what Ruby does now! It was freaky, yet amazing. I guess they really are sisters.
Georgia was the cutest little thing. Any time mom or dad would ask her a yes or no question she would reply, "Yes." Not "yeah" or "uh-huh" or "yep"....but "yes" in her little two year old voice. So angelic!
Ruby was quite a hoot too. She LOVED to do somersaults. At one point we were at a park for part of a family reunion and Dad would say, "Run Ruby!!" and she would fly away, suddenly stop, then come charging back. Then he would ask her to do a somersault and she would immediately do a somersault (bending down, putting her head on the ground then flopping over onto her side). Then, one of our little cousins who was a baby at the time (Ruby was probably 1 1/2) was sitting on a blanket and Ruby decided little Noel wanted to do a somersault and tried to drag her legs around and put her in a somersault position. Thankfully Dad stopped Ruby before she got anywhere and said that Noel probably didn't want to do a somersault.....
I had a very good time watching our busy household interact and grow. I have a wonderful, patient, loving mother who is very active in my life and has been my entire existence. I'm truly blessed because of that. I love you mommy.
Here are some pictures of us as younger little people. None of these are from anything I told you, but they are when we were little. :)
