And so it begins

Today marked the first sacrament meeting in my college ward. The strangeness and foreign-ness of this new ward definitely presented itself, but it a way, there came a normality about all of it. My roommate taught in Sunday school, though it wasn't the Sunday school I went to since my ward would be the same in sacrament as well as Sunday school if they didn't split it up. My apartment has the assignment to teach Sunday School for the first 4 weeks and so she took the first week, that brave soul. She's a people person though and I love being around her so she most likely did a wonderful job.

We met with the bishopric as an apartment and later this week we'll meet with them individually. They seem very likable and loving. I'm excited to get to know them better and serve in the ward. During the "interviews" I told them I'd be willing to play the piano whenever they wanted me too and one of the High Councilors said, "So if you were asked to play in a regional conference, would you be okay with that?" I automatically said sure, but now that I'm thinking about that it may be a little intimidating. I remember hearing that President Holland, Sister Beck and one other General Authority will be coming to our regional conference in a few weeks so I'll just have to see if they find someone else for the job, but if I end up with it I'll do it with a smile and love it. Come what may and love it!.....Even if you made it come, haha.

So, my roommates are awesome. We have laughed together so much in the past little while. I'll talk about them individually in a bit. Today we rearranged the kitchen so there would be more room and so it would be a little more aesthetically pleasing. The table doesn't fulfill its purpose as well since it can seat 8 but will only seat 5, 6 if we squish, in the position it's in. Since all 6 of us probably won't really eat at the same time, we figure the table will work just fine that way.

I'll write about each of them individually later...probably much later depending on how much time and my priority list....
